Frank M. Coleman is married to Donna Coleman and they have one son, Cameron, a step-son Britt Kellogg and a grandson, Dustin Kellogg.
Frank graduated from Mississippi State University in 1975; thereafter, attended and graduated from Mississippi College of Law in 1979, and began the private practice of law with Hon. Roy Pitts, deceased; Daniel P. Self, Jr. and Earl P. “Pat” Jordan (Self & Jordan) and maintained his own office for several years before being elected as the Lauderdale County Court Judge in 1986, where he presently sits beginning his 7th term in office.
Frank is a member of the Lauderdale County Bar Association, Mississippi State Bar Association, and a former member of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association and several subcommittees thereof, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He was admitted to practice in all state Chancery and Circuit Courts, United States Federal Bankruptcy Court and United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. He formerly served as Chairman of the Conference of Mississippi County Court Judges, appointed to serve on the Uniform Youth Court Commission and served as one of the past Chairmen of the Mississippi Juvenile Justice Conference. Frank presently serves on numerous judicial boards and commissions, including the Judge’s Legislative Liaison Committee, the Uniform Circuit and County Court State Rules Committee and the Lauderdale County Circuit and County Court Practice Committee. He is the past vice-chairman of the Mississippi Judicial Performance Commission on which he served for 18 years. He also currently serves on the Juvenile Justice Advisory Commission of the Governor’s State Advisory Group.
