Dwayne Nelson was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he played football. He received his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Education Psychology. He has worked in law enforcement, Boys and Girls Club, Community Mental Health, Therapeutic Group Homes, and is currently employed with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Combined he has over 25 years of experience working with community organizations and the public.
